Full Job Description

Christensen Associates is looking for a full-time Data Analyst I to join our Madison, Wisconsin team. In this role, you will join a larger team of analysts to solve complex, real-world problems for a large logistics client.

Candidates must be willing and able to work in our Madison, Wisconsin office. This is not a remote position.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer. We are unable to sponsor individuals for a work visa or other employment authorization at time of hire or in the future (e.g., H-1B, green card, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

Collect and transform raw data into meaningful statistics, information, and explanations.
Clean, analyze, interpret, and display client data using different approaches and tools.
Troubleshoot data issues when they arise and find creative solutions to complex problems.
Learn one or more areas of our client’s operations and their corresponding data sets and use that knowledge to answer questions.
Assist senior team members in writing and reviewing reports.
Provide data to others to fulfill project requirements (e.g., cost models, pricing strategies, regulatory reporting, and/or productivity measurement reports).
Identify and recommend process improvements and efficiencies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer/data science, data analytics, economics, statistics, math, or similar with a history of strong academic performance. We are willing to consider December 2026 graduates, however, preference will be given to those who have graduated.
Analytically and technically minded with the aptitude, ability, and interest in solving complex problems and learning new things.
Knowledgeable in data analysis concepts (e.g., data cleaning, aggregation, visualization, etc.)
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (with intermediate knowledge of Excel) and software used for data manipulation (e.g., Python, SQL, SAS, or similar).
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), organizational skills, and a rigorous attention to detail.
Able to work independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple competing priorities.
Successful completion of a federal security clearance including drug screen and background check is required.
