Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatrist to join our growing mental health practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient private practice and be skilled in providing care for adult patients. Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering high-quality psychiatric care. Our practice offers robust administrative support—including scheduling, billing, and prior authorizations—allowing you to focus fully on clinical work. This position is remote with visits conducted via telehealth, with one day per week of in-person care if you live in the Tampa and Orlando area where our offices are located. The role offers flexibility to set your own schedule, with a minimum of 20 clinical hours per week expected, and compensation is structured as a 1099 independent contractor arrangement. Although we have a low no-show rate, compensation is also provided for no-show appointments.

Benefits

Ample admin support - billing, prior authorizations, lab orders, call backs and relaying messages to patients is handled by staff

Flexible schedule - whether Monday-Friday or weekends, evenings - your hours are fully up to you

Therapist are available in the practice to refer patients to, practice-wide referral list is also available in case more specialized options are needed

Compensation for no-shows and paperwork, letters

Low acuity patient population - most common diagnoses include mood disorders, anxiety, and ADHD

Fully telehealth, or minimal in-person if located in Tampa or Orlando area

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine mental health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
Manage medication regimens through psychopharmacology, ensuring safe and effective use of psychiatric medications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Engage in telehealth services to expand access to care for patients.

Skills

Strong background in outpatient psychiatry
Board-certification in psychiatry required
Ability to perform intake assessments effectively and manage outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Outpatient experience for at least 1 year preferred
Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction
