Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Inspector

Job description

Group One Safety & Security is looking for a Sprinkler Inspector to join our life safety team. In this role you’ll travel to client sites across the Treasure Coast and South Florida to test and inspect fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and other life safety devices in accordance with NFPA 25 & 72. We’re looking for someone motivated, dependable, and coachable — if you’re serious about life safety work and want room to grow, this is a great fit.

What You’ll Do

· Travel to client sites to test and inspect fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and other life safety devices, in accordance with NFPA schedules and guidelines.

· Perform routine inspections and testing of life safety devices from multiple manufacturers’ product lines.

· Work with low-voltage devices for the operation of low-voltage equipment.

· Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation via laptop computer and iPhone.

· Follow company policies and procedures to complete jobs in a satisfactory and timely manner.

· Organize and effectively utilize technical resources to assure efficient execution of assigned tasks.

· Meet client expectations while performing quality inspections on time and professionally.

What We’re Looking For

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the life safety field.

· Knowledge of fire alarm systems and components.

· Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications helpful.

· Experience with hand tools.

· NICET or equivalent certification preferred but not required.

· Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 20 lbs.

· Must be able to work on lifts and ladders.

· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

· Dependable, highly motivated, with excellent communication skills.

· High school diploma or equivalent.
