Full Job Description

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

SUMMARY:

Responsible for organizing and coordinating various bookkeeping and administrative responsibilities within GJL Production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Must be capable of regular and predictable attendance
Able to work overtime as needed
Maintain records of hog movements
Site to site
Purchased deliveries
Sales
Maintain inventory spreadsheets on all hogs
Submit grade info to sow farm/broker
Med/Vet cost review
Verify feed bills from toll mills and in house mills
Verify bills for trucking
Maintain close contact with producers and scheduling
Track hog sales by producer
Assist in completing paperwork as needed for producers/customers
Create and track invoices and payments
Track hog pricing for producer payment calculations
Accurate data entry and review
Performs other duties as needed and/or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of Microsoft office, ten key, and other office equipment
Professional phone etiquette
Ability to manage time wisely
Ability to keep business matters confidential
Experience with MetaFarms or similar benchmarking systems is a plus
