Some Electrical Project Managers want to be part of the projects everyone talks about.
This is one of those opportunities.
We are representing one of the leading electrical subcontractors in the country, trusted to deliver complex, high-value work across major construction markets. The company name is being kept confidential at this stage, but the opportunity is clear: hyperscale data center projects in Arizona, traveling roles available, a highly competitive package, and a genuine path toward senior leadership.
This is a role for someone who enjoys leading teams, solving problems, building client relationships, and being part of projects where the electrical scope truly matters.
The Opportunity
Data centers are one of the fastest-moving areas in construction, and the electrical package sits at the heart of delivery.
You will be joining a contractor with a strong reputation, a growing backlog, and a culture built around empowering people, delivering quality work, and continuously improving how projects are run.
This is not just about managing paperwork or sitting in meetings. It is about taking ownership of assigned projects, supporting the field, working closely with clients, and helping teams deliver safely, profitably, and on schedule.
What You Will Be Doing
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing, overseeing, and directing assigned electrical projects from early planning through completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building strong project teams focused on safety, quality, schedule, and budget
- Delivering projects that meet customer expectations and stay aligned with scope
- Driving project profitability through effective execution and financial control
- Leading project schedules, procurement planning, contractual requirements, staffing, and capacity planning
- Reviewing contracts, project requirements, scope, risks, and delivery expectations
- Managing project schedules and adjusting priorities as customer needs, manpower, resources, and job conditions change
- Coordinating with owners, general contractors, engineers, vendors, field leadership, and third-party construction partners
- Overseeing RFIs, submittals, takeoffs, procurement tracking, invoicing, change orders, forecasting, and project reviews
- Mentoring and developing project staff, including direct reports and wider project teams
- Communicating project risks, challenges, updates, and successes in a proactive and professional way
- Supporting client relationships and helping create opportunities for future work
- Improving systems and processes so projects continue to run more efficiently
Who This Is For
This role would suit an Electrical Project Manager who wants to work on larger, more technical projects without being treated like just another number.
You may already be working in data centers, or you may come from commercial, mixed-use, industrial, semiconductor, healthcare, manufacturing, or large electrical infrastructure projects.
What matters most is that you understand electrical construction, enjoy leading people, and can manage cost, schedule, communication, and project delivery with confidence.
The ideal background includes:
- 5+ years of project management experience in electrical construction
- Experience managing commercial, mixed-use, industrial, mission critical, or large-scale electrical projects
- Strong understanding of electrical power systems and construction delivery
- Field experience coordinating with construction management and site teams
- Knowledge of scheduling, bids, takeoffs, change orders, contracts, procurement, and forecasting
- Ability to manage profitable projects or portfolios
- Strong relationship-building skills with clients, field teams, engineers, executives, and trade partners
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
- Electrical Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus
