We are looking for an experienced Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to join our Operations team in Sumter, SC.

About the Role
The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and basic PLC-controlled systems.
This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position supporting production and packaging equipment. You will troubleshoot equipment failures, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, repair and install machinery, and work closely with Production and Engineering to improve equipment reliability and plant uptime.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose problems involving motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, sensors, relays and VFDs
- Perform electrical troubleshooting on AC/DC circuits, sensors and industrial controls
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Assist with PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting and interface with automation systems
- Install, align and commission machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, blueprints and wiring diagrams
- Calibrate and repair instrumentation and control systems as needed
- Weld, fabricate and machine small components when required
- Participate in equipment troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
- Work with Production and Engineering to improve equipment reliability and efficiency
- Document completed work through CMMS or maintenance logs
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all plant safety procedures
- Support continuous-improvement initiatives throughout the facility
What We're Looking For
Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in a multi-craft industrial maintenance role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of motors, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes and drive systems
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, including AC/DC circuits, sensors and VFDs
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
- Experience using multimeters, diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical diploma or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics or a related field
- Experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs
- Welding experience, including MIG/TIG/Stick
- OSHA 30 certification
- MASC Journeyman Electrician certification
- Powered Industrial Truck and aerial-lift certification
Work Environment & Schedule
This position works in an active production/industrial environment and may involve exposure to noise, heat, cold and moving machinery.
Candidates must be able to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods
- Climb ladders and work in confined spaces as needed
- Work overtime and weekends when required
- Participate in an on-call rotation
