Full Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Personal Trainer who will also serve 4–6 hours per week as our Gym Studio Manager. Due to the comfort preferences of our clientele, female candidates are strongly preferred.

This role is ideal for a career‑minded professional seeking a long-term position with stability and growth. We value trainers who demonstrate consistent tenure (2+ years per role) and a commitment to building lasting client relationships. Candidates with short-term or frequently changing employment histories are not aligned with this role’s expectations.

The ideal applicant brings corrective exercise expertise, strong management and sales experience, and a passion for helping clients—primarily adults over 40—improve mobility, strength, and overall wellness.

Primary ResponsibilitiesPersonal Training (30–35 hrs/week | Commission-Based)

Provide one-on-one and small-group training sessions.
Specialize in corrective exercise and training for clients age 40+.
Build long-term client relationships and maintain consistent programming.
After 90 days, eligible for up to 45% commission based on performance.

Gym Studio Management (5–10 hrs/week | $20/hr)

Lead and supervise staff, including trainers and instructors.
Oversee daily operations: scheduling, shift management, safety compliance.
Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and purchasing.
Handle customer inquiries and maintain strong client relationships.
Conduct interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and employee orientation.
Manage payroll, bookkeeping, cash handling, POS transactions, and retail sales.
Monitor retail performance: pricing, merchandising, stocking, promotions.
Coordinate marketing initiatives to drive membership and retention.
Oversee budgeting and ensure expenses align with financial goals.
Maintain organized administrative records, including inventory and sales reports.

Required Qualifications

National Personal Training Certification or PT/Kinesiology degree (Required)
Corrective Exercise Experience: Minimum 2 years (Required)
First Aid, CPR, AED (AHA) certification (Required)
Demonstrated professional stability with an average tenure of 2+ years per role
Strong background in sales, customer service, and team leadership
Experience with recruiting, onboarding, payroll, bookkeeping, inventory, POS systems
Organizational excellence and ability to manage multiple tasks
Marketing or promotional experience preferred
Bilingual abilities considered a plus
