Job Title: Executive Chef

Job Description:

We are seeking a creative and proficient Executive Chef to join our dynamic and passionate team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of culinary techniques, a passion for food, and exceptional leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all areas of the kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
2. Develop and plan menus and daily specials, ensuring variety and quality in food preparation.
3. Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes, and waste control procedures.
4. Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
5. Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff to uphold our standards of excellence.
6. Collaborate with the restaurant manager to align kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the establishment.
7. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as an Executive Chef or a high-performing Sous Chef.
2. Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field.
3. Excellent record of kitchen management and ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
4. Capable of delegating multiple tasks while maintaining control of the kitchen at all times.
5. Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.
6. Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
7. Credentials in health and safety training.
