ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a SUPERVISOR- TELECOMMUNICATIONS to join our PATIENT PLACEMENT team!
Salary Range: $19.17 - $30.66 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: VARIED (ALL) SHIFTS, Variable Shifts
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
FTE: FULL TIME, 1.0 FTE or 80 Hours Biweekly
The Supervisor-Telecommunications, under the direction of Manager-Computer Support, manages supervision of the Telecommunications Operators and their performance in a high volume, call center environment; coordinates duties related to the operation of the telecommunications system. Supervises and participates in the operation of the switchboard and other related communications equipment. Responsible for continual support of the Telecommunications Telephone/Fax Software (Amtelco). Manages system functionality of St. Luke's Answering Service and Physician One Call (Physician Referral Service).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Two (2) years Telecommunication Operator experience at St. Luke's or 4 years call center experience external to St. Luke's

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of telephone courtesy and positive customer relations, hospital and medical terminology, computer terminal operations. Ability to think quickly and perform multiple tasks under stressful and unpredictable environment. Ability to work with a heavy call volume accurately. Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and methods in guiding/influencing others towards achieving desired outcomes. Ability to manage staff effectively while demonstrating empathy and understanding. Ability to effectively communicate to individuals and groups. Exercise fine hand or finger movement; see, walk, talk, hear, and sit for up to 8 hour period of time. Ability to work independently. Post-high school education course work in Supervision/Management or Communications, preferred. Requires on-call responsibility including carrying a pager and/or cell phone and the ability to respond quickly to after-hour support situations.
