Part-Time Interior Design Project & Procurement Coordinator

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Part-Time Interior Design Project & Procurement Coordinator to support our growing residential interior design business.
This is a flexible, part-time position with a combination of work-from-home and in-office hours. We are looking for someone who understands the interior design industry and can independently manage the purchasing, vendor communication, order tracking, and administrative details that keep our projects moving.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with interior design, purchasing, or trade experience who enjoys the industry but is looking for a flexible part-time schedule.
ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Order Management
- Manage to-the-trade pricing and vendor information
- Request quotes and special pricing
- Prepare and place purchase orders
- Enter and manage orders in Studio Designer
- Review acknowledgements and pricing for accuracy
- Track orders from placement through delivery
- Follow up on ETAs, backorders and delayed orders
- Communicate with vendors and manufacturers
- Coordinate damages, replacements, returns, RMAs and credits
- Track freight and delivery information
- Keep project purchasing information organized and current
Design & Presentation Support
- Assist with client presentation documents
- Create and edit PowerPoint presentations
- Create polished documents and forms using Canva
- Prepare furniture, lighting, finish and specification schedules
- Organize product images, specifications and pricing
- Help prepare materials for client presentations
- Make sure presentation information is accurate and professionally presented
Administrative & Project Support
- Maintain project spreadsheets in Excel
- Organize project files and documentation
- Maintain vendor pricing and product information
- Follow up on outstanding items without being asked
- Help identify potential issues before they become problems
- Provide general administrative support to the design team
Qualifications
Required:
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong PowerPoint skills
- Strong Canva skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Comfortable communicating directly with vendors and manufacturers
- Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
Strongly preferred:
- Previous experience in interior design, purchasing, furniture, or a related field
- Knowledge of the to-the-trade furniture and lighting industry
- Experience with COM/COL, custom upholstery and lighting
- Experience managing POs, acknowledgements, freight, damages, returns and credits
Part-time | Flexible Schedule | Hybrid
The position will be a flexible combination of work-from-home and in-office hours in the Cumming area.
We are open to working with the right candidate to establish a schedule that works well for both the candidate and the needs of the studio.
We anticipate approximately 18-20 hours per week, with some flexibility depending on project deadlines and workload.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, organized and extremely detail-oriented.
You should be someone who sees that an order is delayed and follows up before we have to ask. Someone who enjoys keeping spreadsheets organized, communicating with vendors, tracking details and getting things checked off the list.
You will be an important part of keeping our projects moving and will work closely with the designer and design team.
The right person will have a strong understanding of the interior design process and be comfortable taking ownership of tasks from:
Quote → Order → Acknowledgement → Production → Delivery → Resolution
We're looking for someone who can step in, learn our systems quickly, and ultimately become a trusted and dependable part of our studio.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
