Full Job Description

Job Description:CNC Operator / Machinist – with Setup Experience

Shift: 1st Shift 6:30 am to 5:00 pm (4-day work week). Fridays are off!

Weekend Shift 5:30 am to 6:00 pm (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Salary: $20 to $30 based on experience.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Operator / Machinist – with Setup Experience to join our team for both 1st Shift and Weekend Shift. This person will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision machined parts (primarily bushings) according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Required Experience and Responsibilities:

· Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and tooling requirements.

· Set up CNC machines by installing fixtures, tooling, and workpieces according to job instructions.

· Select and install cutting tools, adjust machine settings, and perform tool offsets to ensure proper machining operations.

· Operate CNC machines to produce parts within specified tolerances and quality standards.

· Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain production efficiency and quality.

· Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and surface finishes.

· Troubleshoot machining issues and perform corrective actions to resolve tooling or programming errors.

· Collaborate with teams to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.

· Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines.

Performs regular daily maintenance on equipment, tools, and gages and keeps work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in CNC machining is preferred.

· Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a manufacturing environment, with proficiency in programming and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.

· Strong knowledge of machining processes, cutting tool selection, and machine setup techniques.

· Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.

· Excellent attention to detail and precision in machining operations and quality inspections.

· Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues independently.

· Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with colleagues across departments.
