Overview
Join our dynamic cultivation team as a Cultivation Tech 1 and become a vital part of producing high-quality plants in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will support the cultivation process by assisting with plant care, irrigation, pest management, and maintaining optimal growing conditions. Duties
Plant Care & Cultivation
- Perform daily plant care including watering, transplanting, pruning, topping, trellising, defoliation, staking, and harvesting.
- Assist with cloning, propagation, and vegetative plant production.
- Monitor plant health and promptly report pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, orenvironmental concerns.
- Mix and apply approved fertilizers, biologicals, and crop protection products according to SOPs.
- Maintain clean and organized cultivation rooms, irrigation systems, tools, and equipment.
Compliance & Documentation
- Accurately complete cultivation logs, irrigation records, sanitation logs, and crop activity records.
- Maintain compliance with NYS OCM, METRC, and company SOPs.
- Properly identify and handle cannabis inventory and plant tags.
Harvest & Facility Support
- Assist with harvest, drying, trimming, weighing, packaging preparation, and material movement.
- Support inventory counts and facility sanitation.
- Operate safely while following OSHA and company safety policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of cultivation areas, including greenhouse and outdoor spaces.
- Operate hand tools and gardening equipment safely for tasks such as planting, soil preparation, and landscape maintenance.
- Participate in outdoor work activities that require heavy lifting and physical stamina to ensure efficient workflow across various cultivation tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience in horticulture, greenhouse production, agriculture, or cannabis cultivation preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively in outdoor or greenhouse settings.
- Good understanding of plant identification and basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to crop care.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on following SOPs for consistent crop quality.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to manage horticultural tasks independently when needed.
