Job Description

The Temporary Group Fitness Instructor will lead group fitness classes for the University community. Class formats include, but are not limited to: TRX®, Barre, Pound, Boot Camp, Kickboxing, conditioning workouts, dance fusion classes, abdominal & lower back, strength training, HIIT training, Zumba®, hip-hop, Spinning®, TRX® Pilates, and yoga. Assist with maintenance of equipment. Enforce facility and program policies.

Education and Experience

Previous group fitness teaching experience.
Knowledge of strength training and cardiovascular exercise.
National fitness certification (NSCA, ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NASM or equivalent), Adult CPR/AED or acquired w/in 30 days of hire.

Skills and Knowledge

Ability to conduct safe and effective classes.
Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead group exercise classes for both students and staff. Class formats include, but are not limited to: TRX®, Barre, Pound, Boot Camp, Kickboxing, conditioning workouts, dance fusion classes, abdominal & lower back, strength training, HIIT training, Zumba®, hip-hop, Spinning®, TRX® Pilates, and yoga.
