Full Job Description

JOIN OUR TEAM!

Oikos Eye Care, a BUSY optometric practice located inside the Puyallup Costco Wholesale is seeking a friendly and professional individual to join our team as a Optometric Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of our patients through excellence in their eye care experience.

NOTE: Opportunity is for employment with the independent doctor of optometry office located INSIDE Costco and is NOT employment with Costco.

Duties include but are not limited to:
* Scheduling appointments
* Answering multi-line phone system
* Greeting patients
* Checking patients in
* Entering patient information into practice management software (Eye Cloud Pro EHR)
* Pretesting patients before doctor sees patient
* Training new wearers proper insertion, removal, and care of contact lenses
* Checking patients out
* Collecting exam fees
* Verifying and explaining insurance benefits to patients
* Submitting/posting insurance claims
* Confirming appointments for the next day
* Maintaining contact lens trials inventory
* Maintaining office cleanliness (sweeping, mopping, removing trash, cleaning)

The part time position will involve ~33 hours a week and may include additional hours when needed by the practice.

Mondays-Fridays 8:45am-6:15pm
Saturdays 8:45am-5:15pm
Sundays 11:45am-4:15pm

Sunday OFF
Monday OFF
Tuesday OFF
Wednesday 8:45am-6:15pm
Thursday 8:45am-6:15pm
Friday 8:45am-6:15pm
Saturday 8:45am-5:15pm
