About DND Solutions
DND Solutions is a growing national infrastructure contractor supporting federal, commercial, institutional, and mission-critical customers throughout the United States.
Our work includes structured cabling, inside- and outside-plant fiber, fiber blowing and splicing, telecommunications infrastructure, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, pathways, conduit, civil coordination, testing, commissioning, and project closeout.
We regularly perform work in secure, controlled, occupied, and active customer environments where safety, quality, documentation, schedule performance, and professional communication are critical.
As our project portfolio continues to expand, DND Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager who can take ownership of multiple projects from contract handoff through successful completion.
Position Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing DND Solutions projects across multiple customers, locations, and technical disciplines.
This is not a position focused on only one project or one type of work. The successful candidate must be capable of managing projects across multiple disciplines and for a variety of clients.
The Project Manager will oversee project schedules, budgets, field coordination, subcontractors, procurement, customer communication, change management, billing support, quality control, and project closeout.
This is a fully remote, home-based position. Regular nationwide travel to project sites, customer meetings, mobilizations, and critical project activities will be required. Travel frequency will vary based on the active project portfolio.
The ideal candidate is an experienced construction or technology-infrastructure project manager who can work independently, make sound decisions, maintain accurate project visibility, and escalate issues before they become major problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage multiple concurrent projects from contract award through final completion, billing, closeout, and warranty transition.
- Lead the operational handoff from estimating and business development into project execution.
- Review contracts, proposals, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, schedules, amendments, and customer requirements.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, procurement plans, subcontracting plans, and execution strategies.
- Coordinate field employees, foremen, technicians, subcontractors, specialty partners, suppliers, testing personnel, and customer representatives.
- Manage projects involving structured cabling, telecommunications, ISP and OSP fiber, fiber blowing, fiber splicing, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, pathways, conduit, and related infrastructure.
- Track labor productivity, material usage, equipment costs, travel expenses, subcontractor commitments, and overall project financial performance.
- Maintain accurate cost-to-complete forecasts and identify potential financial or schedule risks.
- Coordinate project access, site readiness, material delivery, mobilization, inspections, testing, commissioning, and closeout.
- Lead project kickoff meetings, internal status meetings, customer progress calls, and production reviews.
- Provide company leadership with timely updates regarding project status, financial performance, risks, decisions, and required support.
- Maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, procurement logs, change logs, daily reports, meeting minutes, schedules, testing records, and closeout documentation.
- Identify changes in scope, differing site conditions, delays, customer-directed work, and other potential cost or schedule impacts.
- Prepare and support change-order requests with appropriate documentation and pricing information.
- Coordinate progress billing and provide timely billing support to accounting and company leadership.
- Ensure completed work is properly documented, approved, invoiced, and closed out.
- Monitor quality, safety, testing, documentation, and customer-acceptance requirements.
- Address production shortfalls, quality concerns, rework, damages, delays, and subcontractor performance issues.
- Develop and implement recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule, budget, quality, or customer expectations.
- Maintain professional relationships with prime contractors, federal representatives, general contractors, engineers, facility personnel, suppliers, subcontractors, and customer stakeholders.
- Support estimating, preconstruction, site assessments, proposal development, constructability reviews, and project-risk evaluations when requested.
- Help improve and standardize DND Solutions’ project-management procedures, reporting tools, templates, and workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least five years of direct project-management experience in construction, telecommunications, low-voltage, electrical, utility, security, or technology infrastructure.
