Children’s Ski School Kitchen Manager
Angel Fire Resort is looking for a passionate Kitchen Manager to join our team this winter season in overseeing the Children’s Ski School kitchen. The Kitchen Manager plays a vital role in the Ski School’s success by providing meals to children and staff throughout the day. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for planning food orders and menus based on forecasted needs, overseeing the kitchen staff, and working alongside the vibrant ski school staff in creating positive, lasting memories for our guests. This position is best suited for someone who is experienced in a kitchen environment, who has leadership abilities, and who will thrive in the seasonal nature of this position, which extends from early December to late March. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to manage a small kitchen while also being able to enjoy the ski season!
Base Pay: Starts at $27/hr depending on experience

Required Certs or Licenses: Manager Food Handler Certification (must have prior to first day of work)
Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential, includes weekends and holidays
Typical Shift: starts around 7:30am and ends around 3:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Serves meals to the children and staff in a cafeteria style setting.
- Estimates food consumption and plans menus/food orders accordingly.
- Follows nut-free restrictions at all times.
- Tastes, smells, and observes food to ensure conformance with recipes and appearance standards.
- Maintains refrigerator and freezer temperature logs, recorded on a daily basis.
- Meets the cost per lunch targets and optimizes menu variety and nutrition while minimizing costs.
- Maximizes the efficiency and productivity of kitchen employees and delegates daily tasks.
- Maintains biweekly attendance sheet (Paycor) and sends to the Administrator.
- Ensures the cleanliness of the kitchen area including surfaces, utensils, dishes, refrigeration units, storage areas, and equipment to ensure sanitary standards are met.
- Ensures that Serve Safe regulations are followed at all times.
- Works with the management team in establishing standards and procedures for indoor operations.
- Obtains list of ski school lesson reservations in order to prepare work assignments and schedule appropriately.
- Ensures that customer service standards are met and addresses customer issues or complaints.
- Maintains the cleanliness of facility and the snow removal from the area outside the kitchen.
Qualifications:
- At least two years of related experience
- At least one year of management/supervisory experience or equivalent
- Must have, or be able to quickly obtain, a Food Safety Manager Certification
