Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Breakfast/Lunch Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling delicious breakfast and lunch dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy nutritious, flavorful meals. This position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who thrive on high-volume food production and are passionate about delivering exceptional food service experiences.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch items according to established recipes, menu specifications, and safety standards.
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, poachers, braising pans, and food processors efficiently and safely.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations by following food safety sanitizing procedures at all times.
Assist with menu planning by providing input on dish preparation techniques and ingredient selection to ensure variety and quality.
Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques, adhering to food safety management protocols, and ensuring compliance with all health regulations.
Support high-volume production needs by efficiently managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations, including prepping ingredients, portioning meals accurately, and adhering to recipe guidelines.
Maintain accurate records of food inventory levels, storage conditions, and expiration dates to minimize waste.
Participate in ongoing training related to food safety, new cooking techniques, and industry best practices to enhance culinary skills.

Experience

Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a dietary department is highly desirable.
Demonstrated restaurant or food industry experience with a focus on breakfast or lunch service preferred.
Proven ability in food preparation techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly.
Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Experience in high-volume production settings that require quick turnaround times without compromising quality.
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices essential for maintaining health standards.
Strong knife skills and proficiency in recipe adherence are important for consistent dish quality.
Catering or fine dining experience is a plus for creating elevated breakfast or lunch offerings.
