Full Job Description

Our Primary Care clinic is searching for a qualified and motivated nurse to join our team. Certification as RN, LPN, MA or CNA is required. A minimum of 2 years experience in a primary care setting is required. Familiarity with computers is imperative. The ideal candidate will be diligent, flexible, and able to work well in a team environment. Applicants should note that this is a fast-paced work place which will challenge one to higher levels of efficiency.

The nurse will work closely with one provider and collaborate with the nursing team to support practice-wide health initiatives. Daily responsibilities fall into 3 key areas: rooming patients, performing in-office tests, and managing patient communications. These functions include:

Checking vitals
Reviewing and updating allergies and medications
Updating chief complaints
Performing EKGs, PFTs, flu and strep throat tests, urine tests, and others
Administering injections and IV fluids as appropriate
Attending to refill requests, patient forms, and other patient-related documentation
Communicating with patients by phone and/or via the patient portal'
