Sakowitz Smiles Orthodontics is a growing, privately owned orthodontic practice with three Orlando-area locations in Lake Nona, Hamlin, and Dr. Phillips. We are looking for an outgoing, organized, and dependable Community Events & Outreach Coordinator to help us build meaningful relationships with local families, schools, businesses, and community organizations.
This is not primarily a desk job or social media position. A significant portion of your week will be spent outside the office attending events, visiting community partners, delivering materials, and identifying new opportunities for Sakowitz Smiles to connect with local families.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate Community Events
- Research and identify high-quality community events, sponsorships, school programs, and partnership opportunities
- Manage event registration, scheduling, supplies, staffing, setup, and breakdown
- Attend community events on behalf of Sakowitz Smiles, including selected evenings and weekends
- Create welcoming, engaging experiences that encourage families to interact with our team
- Maintain our event calendar and ensure every event is properly prepared and staffed
Build Community Relationships
- Develop relationships with schools, daycares, pediatric dentists, local businesses, sports organizations, and community groups
- Visit community partners regularly to deliver materials, gifts, and program information
- Look for creative ways Sakowitz Smiles can support the communities surrounding our three offices
- Follow up consistently with contacts and maintain organized records of outreach activity
Represent the Sakowitz Smiles Brand
- Serve as a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic ambassador for our practice
- Clearly explain who we are, what makes our practice different, and how families can connect with us
- Ensure event displays, materials, and giveaways are polished, organized, and consistent with our brand
- Capture appropriate photos and videos from events for our internal marketing team
- Collaborate with our Managers, who oversee our internal marketing direction and priorities
Track Results
- Track event attendance, community contacts, leads, referrals, and follow-up activity
- Collect information from families who want to learn more about our practice
- Provide regular updates on completed outreach, upcoming events, results, and new opportunities
- Use results to help us determine which events and partnerships are worth repeating

- Flexible enough to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Someone who follows through without needing repeated reminders
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is helpful but not required:
- Community outreach
- Event planning or event coordination
- Field marketing or brand promotion
- School or nonprofit partnerships
- Hospitality or customer service
- Sales, relationship-building, or business development
Orthodontic or dental experience is not required. We are more interested in finding someone with the right personality, work ethic, organization, and ability to connect with people.
Position Requirements
- Full-time availability, approximately 35–40 hours per week
- Availability for selected evening and weekend events
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between our offices and surrounding communities
- Ability to transport event supplies and assist with setup and breakdown
- Valid driver’s license and appropriate automobile insurance
- Availability to work from all three Sakowitz Smiles locations as needed
- Comfortable spending a significant portion of the workweek outside the office
Mileage for approved business travel using a personal vehicle will be reimbursed.
