We are seeking a qualified Behavior Consultant or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team.
About the Role : The Behavior Consultant/BCBA designs, implements, and evaluates instructional and environmental modifications that produce meaningful improvements in the lives of the adults in our care. This includes both skill acquisition support and the reduction of maladaptive behaviors. This role works directly alongside individuals, administration, and program staff to maintain a positive, structured, and supportive environment.
Compensation and Benefits: $6,500 per month, with benefits.
This is a full time position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with individuals, staff, and administration to sustain a safe and positive program environment
- Complete functional assessments to identify environmental factors influencing behavior, determine effective positive reinforcers, and develop behavior support plans acceptable to all parties involved
- Provide hands-on staff training to increase positive behaviors, decrease challenging behaviors, and promote life skills
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans in collaboration with the broader care team
- Participate in program activities and organizational events alongside staff and individuals during programming hours
Qualifications
Candidates must meet ONE of the following qualification pathways:
Option 1: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Applicants must hold a qualifying graduate degree, have completed a Verified Course Sequence in behavior analysis, accumulated 1,500 to 2,000 hours of supervised fieldwork, and passed the examination administered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
OR
Option 2: Behavior Management Consultant
Applicants must meet all three of the following requirements:
1. Completion of at least 12 semester units in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience designing and implementing behavior modification intervention services that do not cause pain or trauma, including conducting Functional Analyses and appropriate data collection
3. A current California license in one of the following categories:
a. Licensed Psychologist (Medical Board of California or Psychology Examining Board)
b. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Business and Professions Code, Sections 4996 through 4998.7)
c. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Business and Professions Code, Sections 4980 through 4984.7)
d. Any other California-licensed professional whose licensure permits the design and/or implementation of behavior modification intervention services
Pay: $6,500.00 per month
