MIGHTY FIRE BREAKER, LLC / CITROTECH (NYSE AMERICAN: CITR)
Field Operations Lead — Pacific Northwest
Remote (PNW) Full-time Reports to COO
ABOUT CITROTECH
CitroTech is a publicly traded wildfire defense company (NYSE American: CITR) manufacturing EPA Safer Choice certified, citrus-based, phosphate-free fire inhibitor products. Our products protect homes, infrastructure, and forests from wildfire — without the environmental and health concerns of legacy phosphate retardants. We are headquartered in Oceanside, CA and growing rapidly as we advance USFS qualification, expand utility and railroad partnerships, and scale into municipal fire department markets.
THE OPPORTUNITY
CitroTech's Certified Partner Program (CPP) is scaling rapidly, with contractor partners across Western US wildfire territory. We are hiring our first Field Operations Lead, based in the Pacific Northwest, to own field support, training, and partner success across Oregon, Washington, and Northern California.
This is the company's first regional field-operations seat. You will be the on-the-ground face of CitroTech for contractors and fire-defense partners applying our products in real wildfire-protection scenarios. The role is hands-on, travel-heavy during fire season, and central to how CitroTech scales partner success across the West.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
■ On-site partner training and certification across the CPP network — running workshops, walkthroughs, and field certifications for contractor crews.
■ Field application support — best practices for vegetation flashing, structural protection, pre-fire-season treatments, and seasonal application planning.
■ Partner relationship management — regular touchpoints, issue resolution, renewal support, and growth conversations with contractor partners.
■ Technical service — troubleshooting application equipment, dilution and mixing questions, weather-related variability, and field issues that come up in real time.
■ Field intelligence — bringing real customer feedback back to R&D, Operations, and Sales so the company learns from every season.
■ Documentation — capturing what works in the field into a knowledge base that future hires and partners can use.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN 12 MONTHS
■ A regional partner network that retains and expands season over season.
■ A documented field knowledge base — the playbook for how partners apply CitroTech products well.
■ Strong partner satisfaction metrics, low churn, and growing seasonal volume per partner.
■ A trusted reputation among PNW contractors as the person who shows up and solves problems.
YOU ARE A STRONG FIT IF
■ You have 5+ years in field operations, application engineering, technical service, or field training — ideally in industrial chemicals, fire safety, agriculture, coatings, or a related applied-product category.
■ You are comfortable with industrial chemicals and application equipment. Spray rigs, dilution systems, PPE, EPA-registered product handling — none of this is foreign to you.
■ You have strong relationship skills with contractors, field crews, and small business owners. You can run a workshop, hold a side conversation in the truck, and earn respect from people who have been doing the work for decades.
■ You are comfortable with travel. 50–75% of your time on the road during fire season (May–November). You are based in the PNW and you are not afraid of windshield time.
■ You are self-directed and field-disciplined. You document, you communicate, you don't disappear. Your colleagues know what you're working on without having to ask.
■ You are tech-savvy and AI-enabled. You use AI tools to draft training material, troubleshoot in real time, and document field knowledge faster than the traditional way.
■ You are direct, accountable, and low-ego. You raise issues early, share what you learn, and take ownership of outcomes.
BONUS POINTS
■ Background in fire defense, fire suppression, wildland firefighting, or wildfire response.
■ Experience with EPA-registered chemical applications or FIFRA-regulated products.
■ Existing relationships with PNW contractors, fire crews, or fire-safety partners.
■ Bilingual (English / Spanish).
■ Familiarity with USFS, BLM, CalFire, ODF, or DNR operating environments.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
■ Base salary: $85,000–$115,000 commensurate with experience.
■ Performance bonus tied to partner growth, retention, and territory metrics.
■ Equity participation in a publicly traded company.
■ Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and standard benefits package.
■ Vehicle / mileage support and travel expenses fully covered.
ROLE LOGISTICS
■ Location: Remote in the Pacific Northwest (OR or WA preferred; Northern CA considered). Quarterly visits to Oceanside HQ.
■ Schedule: Field-driven during fire season (May–November); office/admin-focused off-season.
■ Travel: 50–75% during fire season; 25–30% off-season.
■ Start date: As soon as possible — ideally before peak fire season.
HOW TO APPLY
Please send a resume and a brief note (1–2 paragraphs) addressing the following:
■ A time you supported a customer or partner through an application or technical issue in the field — what was the problem, what you did, and how it ended.
■ Your comfort level with industrial chemicals, application equipment, and field training.
■ Why a travel-heavy field role at a growth-stage public company appeals to you at this point in your career.
