Full Job Description

At JDS Law, we help California families and business owners protect what they have spent a lifetime building—their families, businesses, homes, assets, and legacies.

We are looking for an Estate Planning Paralegal who does more than complete tasks. We want someone who takes ownership, solves problems before they become emergencies, communicates openly, and genuinely cares about helping clients achieve peace of mind.

Compensation:

$25 - $30 hourly

Responsibilities:

Draft estate planning documents using Wealth Docx.
Assist with California trust disputes, including filing, service of pleadings, and court-related procedures, and prepare related legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements.
Support trust and estate administration, including preparing trust reports, accountings, and related documentation.
Handle California business entity formations, filings, and ongoing maintenance.
Proactively manage deadlines, maintain accurate client files, identify potential issues early, and recommend practical solutions.
Deliver an exceptional client experience through timely communication, attention to detail, and outstanding client service.

Qualifications:

Required

Bachelor’s degree and Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.
Minimum 2 years of paralegal experience in a California law firm or similar environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and project-management abilities.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365.

Preferred

Experience drafting estate planning documents and building scenarios using Wealth Docx.
Familiarity with Clio.
Experience with trust administration and probate matters.
