We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Process Control Utility professional to join our manufacturing team. The Process Control Utility is a cross-functional role responsible for supporting laboratory testing, final product inspection, wastewater treatment operations, and process control monitoring. Employees in this position will be trained across multiple functional areas within the department and may be assigned to perform duties in one specific area during a shift based on operational needs.
The role ensures product quality, regulatory compliance, environmental compliance, and stable production processes through testing, inspection, monitoring, and documentation
Key Responsibilities
- Follow established procedures, testing methods, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and electronic documentation.
- Communicate results, deviations, and issues to supervisors and production personnel.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment as required.
- Participate in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Maintain housekeeping and organization within assigned work areas.
- Assist in training other personnel when qualified.
Functional Responsibilities
Laboratory Technician
- Perform routine laboratory tests on raw materials, and finished products.
- Record and report analytical results.
- Maintain laboratory instruments and perform routine calibrations.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards.
Final Product Inspector
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and customer requirements.
- Conduct visual inspections and dimensional or physical tests as required.
- Document inspection results and identify non-conforming materials.
- Coordinate with production to address quality issues.
- Maintain inspection records and reports.
Wastewater Treatment Technician
- Monitor and operate wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Collect and test wastewater samples.
- Adjust treatment processes as needed to maintain proper parameters.
- Maintain logs, reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Assist with maintenance and monitoring of treatment equipment.
Process Control Technician
- Monitor production processes and equipment parameters.
- Collect and analyze process samples.
- Identify process deviations and make corrective actions.
- Assist with process adjustments to maintain product specifications.
- Maintain records related to process monitoring and quality control.
Training and Cross-Training Expectations
Employees in this role are expected to develop proficiency in multiple functional areas within the department. While individuals may be assigned to a specific role during a shift, they will be progressively trained in laboratory testing, final inspection, wastewater treatment operations, and process control functions.
Cross-training enhances operational flexibility and supports departmental coverage.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED required
- Experience in laboratory testing, manufacturing quality, wastewater treatment, or process operations is beneficial.
- Ability to follow technical procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
- Must possess good communication skills
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Willing and able to rotate shifts to cover as needed.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work may occur in laboratory, production floor, or wastewater treatment environments.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift materials (40 lbs), and work around industrial equipment.
- Exposure to chemicals, wastewater systems, and manufacturing processes (PPE will be supplied).
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and electronic documentation.

Pay: $24.50 - $25.00 per hour
