Full Job Description

OVERVIEW

Henrietta Red is looking for a passionate baker or pastry assistant with a love for hospitality, food, and beverage. We hope to create a close-knit team that embraces sustainability, local food production, and the art of hospitality. While we value your experience in the food and beverage industry, we are willing to train the right people who have ambition, the desire to learn and grow, and an amazing attitude.

*the pastry assistant position is seasonal and for our Pastry Chefs maternal leave only*

The current pastry assistant need is from late September - December with potential to start immediately as a line cook and stay on after the pastry position ends as line cook.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 1-2 years baking and pastry experience in a restaurant, café, bakery, catering, or prepared foods environment
Knowledge of pastries, quick breads, breads, and desserts
Able to execute recipes per the Pastry Chef’s direction
Team player, excited about joining a startup team with growth potential
Great communicator, extremely organized, works clean, enforces standards
A positive personality
Curious Intelligence to continue learning in the position
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work nights (1pm-Close) and weekends
Able to lift up to 50 pounds

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ongoing production and execution of house pastries, desserts, crackers, and breads
Work closely with chefs to ensure production and service operate smoothly and efficiently
Ensure quality, consistency and guest satisfaction
Working cleanly, with consideration for shared kitchen space

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
