Full Job Description

Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) Psychometrist, Supervision Provided

BGA Psychology is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Texas Licensed Psychological Associate to work as a psychometrist and assist with psychological and psychoeducational evaluations.

This position is specifically intended for an individual who already holds an active Texas LPA license. It is particularly well suited for an LPA who is accruing supervised experience toward independent practice authority. The psychologist at BGA Psychology will serve as the LPA’s supervisor. LPAs who already hold independent practice authority are also welcome to apply.

This is not a general master’s-level psychometrist position, graduate-student position, practicum, or internship. Applicants who do not currently hold an active Texas LPA license will not be considered.

About the Position

BGA Psychology primarily evaluates middle school, high school, and college students for concerns such as ADHD, learning disorders, autism, anxiety, depression, and the need for academic or standardized testing accommodations. We also conduct evaluations with adults and other populations.

The LPA psychometrist will administer and score standardized assessment measures under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Commonly used measures include the WAIS-5, Woodcock-Johnson IV, attention and memory measures, personality inventories, and other psychological and psychoeducational instruments.

Prior experience administering and scoring psychological or psychoeducational tests is required. Additional training in our assessment procedures and commonly used batteries will be provided.

Responsibilities

Administer and score standardized cognitive, academic, attention, memory, personality, and other psychological measures
Work professionally and compassionately with clients ranging from middle school students through adults
Follow standardized administration, scoring, and test-security procedures
Document concise and clinically relevant behavioral observations during testing
Prepare testing materials and organize completed protocols
Review scoring carefully for accuracy and completeness
Maintain client confidentiality and comply with applicable ethical and professional standards
Communicate clearly and promptly with the supervising psychologist and clinic team
Maintain dependable attendance and complete assigned work within established timelines
Participate appropriately in supervision, consultation, and additional training

Required Qualifications

Current, active Texas Licensed Psychological Associate license
Prior experience administering and scoring psychological or psychoeducational assessment measures
Strong attention to detail and commitment to scoring accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Dependability, professionalism, and sound clinical judgment
Ability to follow standardized procedures and respond appropriately to supervision and feedback
Ability to work effectively with adolescents and adults from varied backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

Currently accruing supervised experience toward independent practice authority as an LPA
Experience with cognitive, academic, ADHD, autism, personality, or accommodations evaluations
Familiarity with measures such as the WAIS-5 and Woodcock-Johnson IV
Experience documenting behavioral observations and organizing testing protocols
Interest in developing additional expertise in psychological and psychoeducational assessment
