Full Job Description

Position Description: Purpose:

To administer and perform accounts payable functions for all facilities in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to the long-term health-care facilities.

Qualifications:

Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma with at least two (2) years business school, or the equivalent.
Requires some knowledge of computerized accounting/payroll system, ability to work with detail, and good organizational skills.
Requires common sense, good judgment, and a detailed approach to work on assignments and projects that are routine in nature.
Must be able to deal with sensitive, confidential accounts payable issues (AP) to include dealing with vendors in a calm, understanding manner to resolve any conflicts.
Customer service etiquette required.
Must be able to clearly communicate their expertise concerning any number of AP issues.
Must be proactive and initiate changes in the system when necessary.
Knowledge of state and federal tax laws.

Essential Functions:

Code invoices with appropriate account number to assure that expenses are distributed to the correct expense account and input into computer system.
Process and verify payment of invoices on a timely basis.
Attach original invoice to duplicate copy/cancelled check for permanent record.
Send checks and maintain a file of paid invoices.
Maintain accounts payable files and purge at designated times.
Communicate with supplier/vendors, when necessary, concerning errors or questions on invoices.
Maintain cash receipts and cash disbursement records.
Prepare 1099 forms annually.
Complete and submit credit applications for vendors when necessary.
Performs other related assignments as required.

Position Responsibilities: 25.00% - Assist with both Clerical and admin Tasks.
