The Role
MTLI Group is seeking a high-performance Director of Operations — USA to lead and scale all U.S. operations across multiple divisions.
This role is built for a highly driven operator who thrives in fast-paced environments and knows how to lead large-scale execution across multiple states, customers, crews, and project types.

This is not a corporate management role.
We are looking for a hands-on operational leader who understands how to build structure, drive accountability, and scale execution across rapidly growing industrial operations.
Core Responsibilities1. Operational Leadership & Execution
- Lead all U.S. operations across multiple divisions
- Oversee Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Coordinators, Dispatch, and field teams
- Ensure projects are executed safely, profitably, and on schedule
- Drive accountability across all levels of operations
- Manage simultaneous multi-site projects across the United States
2. U.S. Expansion & Scaling
- Help scale MTLI’s operational footprint across the U.S.
- Build scalable field leadership structures
- Support future regional expansion initiatives
- Improve operational readiness for larger national programs
- Support recruiting and onboarding of PMs, supervisors, and skilled field labor
3. Project Performance & Profitability
- Own operational performance and project delivery across the U.S.
- Monitor:
- Gross margins
- Labor productivity
- Schedule adherence
- Budget performance
- Change orders
- Customer satisfaction
- Identify and eliminate operational inefficiencies and margin leakage
4. Systems & Standardization
- Help implement scalable operational systems and SOPs
- Standardize:
- Daily reporting
- QA/QC procedures
- Dispatch processes
- Crew planning
- Project workflows
- Safety compliance
- Support rollout and optimization of MTLI’s internal ERP systems and operational dashboards
5. Cross-Border & Multi-State Execution
- Coordinate projects across multiple states and regions
- Support labor planning, travel coordination, logistics, and deployment strategies
- Ensure operational consistency across all U.S. projects
- Travel frequently to major project sites as required
6. Team Leadership & Development
- Build and mentor high-performing operational teams
- Develop:
- Senior Project Managers
- Coordinators
- Site leadership
- Supervisors
- Create accountability structures and measurable performance expectations
- Help build scalable leadership depth across the United States
7. Client & Site Leadership
- Participate in key customer meetings and escalations
- Maintain strong client relationships during project execution
- Work directly with enterprise customers and strategic partners
- Ensure customer expectations are exceeded consistently

- Ability to scale U.S. project volume significantly without operational breakdowns
- CEO involvement in day-to-day operational firefighting reduced substantially
Ideal Candidate ProfileExperience
- 10–20+ years of operational leadership experience
- Managed large-scale multi-site operations across multiple states
- Background in one or more of:
- Industrial services
- Construction
- Material handling / automation
- Warehousing / logistics
- General contracting
- Experience leading large field teams and Project Managers
- Strong understanding of operational scaling and field execution
Preferred experience from companies such as:
- Amazon
- Dematic
- Daifuku
- Fortna
- Large industrial contractors
- Large-scale logistics or infrastructure operators
Skill Set
- Strong operational leadership capabilities
- Deep understanding of field execution and labor productivity

Location
United States-based
Heavy travel required across the United States and occasional Canadian support as needed.
Compensation
Competitive base salary + performance incentives + growth opportunity based on experience and leadership capability.
Pay: $130,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
