Front Desk Staff/ Patient Care Assistant

Are you friendly, organized, and passionate about providing exceptional customer service? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced healthcare environment where every day is different? Coastal Family Eye Care is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Receptionist/Front Desk Staff/Patient Care Assistant to become an important part of our patient care team.

As the first and last person our patients interact with, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience while keeping our office running smoothly.

What You'll Do

Your day will include a variety of responsibilities, including:

Welcome patients with a warm, professional attitude.
Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
Verify insurance information and collect patient payments.
Schedule appointments and manage provider schedules.
Answer incoming phone calls promptly and assist patients with scheduling and questions.
Triage appointment requests based on urgency.
Prepare patient charts and verify insurance eligibility before appointments.
Coordinate paperwork, referrals, and required patient forms.
Process faxes, filing, scanning, and other administrative tasks.
Balance the cash drawer and complete end-of-day responsibilities.
Maintain a clean, organized front office environment.
Work collaboratively with doctors, technicians, and fellow team members to ensure outstanding patient care.
Cross train to fill in for other roles when needed

Experience in a medical office, insurance verification, scheduling, or customer service is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
