Full Job Description

Campus Human Resources provides a full range of human resource management services through its various units, including Health and Welfare Benefits, Compensation and Classification, Personnel Policy development and compliance, Employee and Labor Relations, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning, HR Information Systems, the Staff and Faculty Counseling Center, Learning and Organizational Development, and the HR & Payroll Operations Center. The HR & Payroll Operations Center provides human resources and payroll services to a diverse client pool and assists with ongoing campus initiatives and special projects.

Salary & Compensation

*UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications

1. Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear, concise, accurate functional design documents, test scripts, training materials, and informational articles. (Required)

2. Ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve system problems, including recommending system modifications or corrective actions. (Required)

3. Effective verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to individuals at various organizational levels. (Required)

4. Strong collaboration, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to gather information, assess situations, and develop mutually acceptable solutions. (Required)

5. Analytical ability to review information and procedures, define problems or objectives, and formulate logical conclusions with appropriate alternatives. (Required)

6. Ability to prioritize work based on the relative importance of responsibilities and deadlines. (Required)

7. Ability to manage multiple assignments independently and accurately while meeting deadlines in an environment with frequent interruptions. (Required)

8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Access, Visio, and Excel. (Required)

9. Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information. (Required)

10. Ability to stay current with changing university systems, regulations, policies, and procedures. (Required)

11. Knowledge of mainframe computer systems and strong attention to detail, including accuracy in working with numbers and complex information. (Required)

12. Working knowledge of I9, employment eligibility verification, university payroll, general ledger, staff personnel policies, collective bargaining agreements, and time and attendance procedures. (Required)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Bachelor's Degree Degree in a related area and/or equivalent work experience (Required)
