Full Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled SQL Developer with 4–6 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server development and a good understanding of Healthcare IT systems. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL programming skills, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to develop efficient database solutions that support healthcare applications such as claims processing, member eligibility, provider management, and clinical or administrative systems.

This role requires close collaboration with application developers, business analysts, QA teams, and product owners to build scalable, high-performance database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and application support.
Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis.
Support healthcare applications by troubleshooting data-related issues and ensuring data integrity.
Work closely with application development teams to design efficient database structures.
Develop scripts for database deployments and version control.
Participate in database design reviews and code reviews.
Create technical documentation for database objects and processes.
Assist in production support, issue investigation, and root cause analysis.

Required Technical Skills

4–6 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
Strong expertise in:

Experience with:
Query Optimization
Performance Tuning

SQL Profiler

Experience with Git or Azure DevOps for source control.
Good understanding of database normalization and relational database design.
