You are comfortable taking ownership of the day-to-day operation of a small retail environment—from inventory and merchandising to cashiering and customer service. Just as importantly, you enjoy interacting with older adults and understand that the Courtyard Market is more than a place to shop. You're someone who sees what needs to be done, stays organized, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to support our residents and Life Enrichment team.

Manage the daily operations of the Courtyard Market, including opening and closing, stocking, pricing, merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining an inviting shopping environment

Maintain consistent Market availability for residents and help identify opportunities to expand Market hours and accessibility

Monitor inventory levels, conduct quarterly inventory counts, and communicate supply needs

Maintain accurate pricing, product organization, and point-of-sale operations

Recruit, train, schedule, and coordinate resident and community volunteers who support the Market

Build positive relationships with residents and provide friendly, attentive customer service
-
Coordinate and host select resident social activities, such as bingo, music programs, and other Life Enrichment events

Assist with new resident welcome activities and serve as a friendly, knowledgeable point of contact

Deliver packages, floral arrangements, dry cleaning, and other items to residents
-
Assist with distribution of newsletters, activity flyers, calendars, and other resident communications

Provide support to the Business Center and other Life Enrichment functions as needed

Collaborate with the Library Committee regarding resident library needs
-
Maintain a clean, organized, attractive, and welcoming Market environment

Perform other duties as assigned in support of Life Enrichment and resident services

Must be at least 18 years of age

High school diploma or GED preferred
-
CPR certification required
-
Experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, volunteer coordination, or a similar resident/customer-facing role preferred

Previous experience working with older adults is a plus

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Comfortable handling cash, operating a point-of-sale system, and maintaining inventory

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Dependable and able to manage daily responsibilities with limited supervision

Comfortable coordinating volunteers and working collaboratively with residents and team members

A positive, approachable personality with a genuine commitment to exceptional service
