Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. This position will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, internal controls, cash management, inventory accounting, and financial analysis.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing e-commerce environment. This role will work closely with company leadership and operational teams to provide financial insight that supports business growth and profitability.
Ideal Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting, including financial close and reporting.
- Experience with Amazon Vendor Central, Seller Central, or Amazon chargeback management preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar systems preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes and prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
- Oversee accounting for e-commerce sales, refunds, fees, chargebacks, payment processors, and deposits.
- Manage inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, inventory reconciliations, adjustments, and discrepancies.
- Monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, and provide leadership with visibility into current and future cash needs.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning while analyzing actual results against budget and prior periods.
- Provide financial analysis and insights related to revenue, margins, operating expenses, inventory, profitability, and cash flow.
- Establish and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial documentation.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, tax professionals, and other financial partners.
- Support federal, state, local, and sales tax compliance requirements.
- Identify financial trends, discrepancies, risks, and opportunities and recommend solutions to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Partner with leadership and operational teams to support informed business decisions and company growth.
- Ensure accounting processes are accurate, efficient, well-documented, and scalable as the company continues to grow.
