Full Job Description

Overview

Skyfall Residential Homes is seeking an experienced and dedicated Program Director to lead the daily operations of our Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP). The Program Director is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed residential services while maintaining compliance with Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY), OhioMHAS, Medicaid, CARF, and all applicable federal and state regulations. This leadership role oversees program operations, staff recruitment and development, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and the overall safety and well-being of the youth we serve. The ideal candidate is a strong, compassionate leader who is committed to creating a structured, therapeutic environment that promotes healing, personal growth, and successful outcomes for children and adolescents.

Responsibilities

Direct the daily operations of the Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) while ensuring compliance with all licensing, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise, evaluate, coach, and discipline residential staff in accordance with agency policies and employment laws.
Develop staff schedules and ensure appropriate staffing ratios are maintained at all times.
Supervise Residential Supervisors, Youth Intervention Specialists, Case Managers, and other residential staff while promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
Ensure the safety, well-being, and therapeutic care of all youth residing in the program.
Collaborate with the Clinical Director to ensure treatment plans, behavioral interventions, and therapeutic programming are implemented consistently.
Monitor compliance with Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY), OhioMHAS, Medicaid, CARF, HIPAA, and agency policies and procedures.
Conduct routine audits of client records, incident reports, medication administration records, staff training records, and program documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
Review critical incidents, grievances, and complaints while implementing corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives.
Coordinate admissions, discharges, and communication with placing agencies, families, schools, and community providers.
Oversee budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, facility maintenance coordination, and operational planning.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and maintain survey readiness for licensing inspections and accreditation reviews.
Ensure all employees complete required orientation, annual training, CPR/First Aid certification, and other mandatory training requirements.
Promote a safe, trauma-informed, culturally responsive environment that encourages healing, accountability, and positive youth development.
Serve as the primary operational leader of the residential program while supporting the mission, vision, and values of Skyfall Residential Homes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of leadership or management experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, child welfare, juvenile justice, or a related human services setting.
Demonstrated experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, supervising, evaluating, and developing employees.
Strong knowledge of Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) requirements, trauma-informed care, positive behavior support, and residential treatment best practices.
Thorough knowledge of Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY), OhioMHAS, Medicaid, CARF accreditation standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Experience managing staffing, scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and program operations.
Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational improvements that enhance program quality and efficiency.
Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Valid Ohio driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to successfully complete criminal background checks and meet all employment requirements.
Strong commitment to ethical leadership, staff development, youth advocacy, and providing high-quality, trauma-informed care.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
