Full Job Description

We are seeking a Youth Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a Youth Intervention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to at risk youth struggling with behavioral health challenges in a residential setting . This position requires strong mentoring and behavioral health skills, as well as the ability to show patience, empathy and kindness for those you serve. Some of your responsibilities will include working with youth one on one, providing group facilitation, conflict resolution, driving the agency vehicles and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities

Provide consistent care for residents who may be afflicted with emotional and behavioral disorders
In conjunction with the treatment team, assist in developing, writing, and implementing group and individual treatment plans
Provide behavioral health support to residents facing behavioral health challenges, including CPST, TBS and group facilitation
Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers, parents and educators, to create comprehensive support systems
Teach residents' daily life skills and daily living activities via mirroring, including but not limited to cooking, cleaning, and laundry
Advocate for the rights and well-being of those you serve
Maintain accurate documentation of interventions and progress in electronic health record system
Medication administration
Transporting residents when required
Engage in daily recreational activities as well as other planned recreational programs.

Requirements

Three years behavioral health experience preferred. QMHS/QMHS certification
- Experience working with at risk youth or individuals with special needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage conflicts and deescalate challenging situations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

-Strong note writing skills

- Familiarity with EhR systems

-MUST Possess a valid drivers license with good driving record as you will be driving company vehicles.

-Pass an FBI/BCI background check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
