Job Overview

Tristate Low Voltage Supply is looking for a Tech Support Representative to join our Lakewood team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, learns new products quickly, and likes helping customers solve problems.

In this role, you'll provide technical support to customers by phone and email, answer product questions, troubleshoot basic issues, and help customers understand how to install and use the products we sell. You'll also assist with creating simple product demonstration videos and other educational content to help customers get the most out of our products.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and remote troubleshooting.
Answer "how-to" questions related to our products.
Troubleshoot product configuration, installation, and connectivity issues.
Assist customers with product setup, firmware updates, software configuration, and best practices.
Help customers identify compatible products and recommend appropriate accessories.
Escalate advanced technical issues to manufacturers when necessary and follow cases through resolution.
Test new products in-house to gain familiarity and document common installation procedures.
Create product demo videos, setup guides, FAQs, and instructional content.
Work closely with our sales team to ensure customers receive outstanding technical support before and after the sale.
Learn new technologies and stay current on product features, firmware releases, and industry trends.
Maintain a professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude.

Support products in the following categories:

Ubiquiti and TP-Link IP networking equipment (switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points)
Surveillance and security camera systems
Access control systems
Intercom and video door entry systems
Audio/Video distribution systems

Qualifications

Strong interest in technology and troubleshooting.
Comfortable learning new products and software.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
Ability to explain technical information in a simple, easy-to-understand way.
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: Networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs, Wi-Fi), IP cameras and video surveillance, Access control systems, Intercom systems, Audio/Video systems, Low voltage wiring, IT support or help desk
Experience creating videos or tutorials is a plus.

Schedule:

Monday thru Thursday: 8 am to 5 pm
Friday: 8 am to 12 pm

Compensation:

$23.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience.
