Position Summary:
This position is in the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)/Motor Fuel Refund/Liquid Fuel Carrier (LFCL) Segment of the Customer Relations Core Process. Educates customers in person, by phone or in writing regarding statutes, policies, procedures, services and resources in a professional manner. Provides customer with information regarding status of records, tax return or other transactions. Provides guidance on options to correct deficiencies, problems or errors. Provides exceptional customer service and ensures all customer needs are met in a professional and efficient manner. Performs account management and adjustments. Produce and manage non-filer process. Participates in informal conferences and Kansas Administrative Procedures Act hearings. Conducts the processing of business applications, returns, remittances, refunds, billings, transfers and bonds. Updates and maintains quarterly tax rate changes. Training new associates and solving problems for current Customer Rep and Customer Rep Seniors. Processes other jurisdiction transmittals and batch Jobs in the SYSOUT Archival Retrieval System (SAR). Verifies and completes statements for Bankruptcies, Liens and Warrants. Provides input for Legislative implementation. Tests program/system changes prior to implementation.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience in interviewing, investigating or providing technical assistance to clients, customers, or the public, and two years of experience or education in auditing or accounting support work.
Preferred Experience: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Proofreading, editing, attention to detail.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: KBI and FBI fingerprint required due to access to Federal Tax Information files in KDOR systems.
