Payroll & Bookkeeping Specialist

A growing professional services firm is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Bookkeeping Specialist to join its team. This position is responsible for providing payroll, bookkeeping, and accounting support for multiple clients while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service. Full time, direct hire opportunity offering benefits. $20-$26/hr DOE!

Payroll & Bookkeeping Specialist Job Responsibilities:

Process payroll for multiple clients, including tax deposits and payroll reporting
Prepare financial statements and related accounting reports
Perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and depreciation tracking
Manage accounts payable and sales tax reporting
Enter and maintain accurate financial data within accounting systems
Work within recurring client schedules and deadlines
Collaborate with leadership and team members to support client needs
Maintain strong professional relationships with clients
Assist with additional accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Payroll & Bookkeeping Specialist Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll processing
Knowledge of QuickBooks, Accounting CS, or similar accounting software
Experience preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and compilations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
