Job Summary
We are seeking PhD-level Engineers in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering to support advanced AI training and evaluation initiatives. In this role, you will leverage your deep technical expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality engineering knowledge, scientific reasoning, and real-world problem-solving insights.
This is not a traditional engineering design or manufacturing role. Instead, you will contribute expert analysis, technical explanations, experimental design concepts, literature-based research, and engineering judgment to help AI systems learn and reason more effectively across complex engineering domains.
No prior AI experience is required. What matters most is your engineering expertise, research background, quantitative reasoning skills, and ability to communicate advanced concepts clearly.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver authoritative written responses to advanced engineering questions and technical scenarios within your area of specialization.
- Review, analyze, and interpret scientific literature, research papers, and technical documentation to provide accurate and current engineering insights.
- Design and document realistic engineering experiments, simulations, and research scenarios based on established scientific principles.
- Analyze engineering datasets and interpret results to support AI training and evaluation projects.
- Apply advanced mathematics, calculus, modeling techniques, and quantitative reasoning to complex engineering problems.
- Create detailed explanations that demonstrate sound engineering judgment and technical rigor.
- Ensure all deliverables meet high standards for accuracy, completeness, clarity, and scientific validity.
- Collaborate with project teams to improve response quality, benchmark engineering knowledge, and refine evaluation criteria.
- Contribute subject matter expertise that helps AI systems better understand engineering concepts, methodologies, and real-world applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Strong expertise in advanced engineering principles, scientific research methodologies, and quantitative analysis.
- Demonstrated experience conducting literature reviews and synthesizing technical information from scientific publications.
- Advanced understanding of calculus, mathematical modeling, experimental design, and data interpretation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and accurately.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while consistently producing high-quality technical deliverables.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Academic, industrial R&D, laboratory, or applied engineering research experience.
- Experience publishing peer-reviewed research, patents, technical reports, or conference papers.
- Familiarity with simulation, modeling, or advanced computational engineering tools relevant to your discipline.
- Experience mentoring researchers, graduate students, or engineering teams.
- Interest in AI, machine learning, or emerging technologies, although prior AI experience is not required.
- Proven ability to create highly accurate, publication-quality technical content.
Additional Information
This opportunity is ideal for highly accomplished engineers who enjoy applying their research expertise, scientific reasoning, and technical communication skills to emerging AI technologies. Your contributions will directly influence how future AI systems understand engineering principles, interpret scientific information, solve technical problems, and reason through complex real-world engineering challenges.
