Your Role

Provide individual, couples, and/or family psychotherapy based on your areas of competency and interest.

Maintain timely, accurate, and high-quality clinical documentation.

Collaborate with our clinical team and participate in required supervision and consultation.

Provide trauma-informed, ethical, and evidence-based care and develop a niche.

Help create an exceptional client experience from the first appointment through successful discharge.

Continue developing your clinical skills while contributing to a healthy and supportive team culture.

Qualifications

Required

Active Maryland clinical license or graduate-level license, including LCPC, LGPC, LCSW-C, LMSW, Psychologist, or equivalent eligible credential.

Master’s degree or higher in a behavioral health field.

Experience providing psychotherapy.

Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and communication skills.

Ability to complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes.

Comfort using technology, including Google Workspace and electronic health record systems such as Jane App, or willingness to learn.

Willingness to work some evening and/or Saturday hours based on practice needs.

Preferred

Experience treating trauma and PTSD or a strong interest in developing trauma treatment expertise.

Experience providing couples or family therapy.

Interest in EMDR, Brainspotting, Neurofeedback, or other advanced trauma treatment approaches.

A growth mindset and genuine commitment to lifelong learning.

About MATR Counseling

MATR Counseling is a growing trauma-focused group practice serving clients throughout Maryland through in-person and telehealth psychotherapy.

We provide evidence-based treatment for trauma, PTSD, Complex PTSD, anxiety, grief, ADHD, relationship concerns, and narcissistic abuse recovery. We also provide Christian counseling for clients who request faith-integrated care.
