Full Job Description

Home Instead in Clawson, a Top Workplace Employer for the past 15 years, is looking for an organized, reliable, and people-focused HR/Staffing Assistant to join our team in Clawson. In this role, you'll help recruit, support, and schedule caregivers who provide essential care to seniors in our community.

The right individual for the Human Resource/Staffing Assistant position will be working in the office Monday through Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the full cycle recruitment process including posting positions, contacting and interviewing candidates, completing the onboarding process, and conducting new hire training.
Assist with hiring and maintaining two plus Care Professionals a month.
Create and maintain client and Care Professional schedules with an emphasis on creating high quality matches and the development of extraordinary relationships on a daily basis.
Monitor, mediate, and log all client and Care Professional activity utilizing the software system.
Assist in administering benefits for health, dental, vision, IRA, and supplemental insurance during open enrollment periods and as new employees become eligible after their respective waiting periods.
Assist with submitting documentation to Long-Term Care Providers.
Conduct client/Care Professional introductions as needed.
Demonstrate open and effective communication with General Manager, colleagues and Care Professionals.
Work effectively with the HR/Staffing Supervisor and HR/Staffing Coordinator to assist with all tasks.
Able to work well independently and with team members.
Perform any and all other functions and responsibilities deemed necessary or as assigned by the General Manager, HR/Staffing Supervisor, and HR/Staffing Coordinator.

Education/Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Previous staffing and human resource experience preferred.
One year of related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn new tasks quickly and to handle a fast-paced challenging environment.
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.
Experience with handling client concerns and a strong desire to provide the highest quality service.
Being organized, detail oriented, ability to multi-task, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively.
Must have a positive attitude.
Meet or exceed minimum qualifications for each of the following checks: criminal history, motor vehicle driving record and drug test to be bondable.
Must hold a valid driver's license and active automobile insurance.
