TRUE Financial is growing, and we are looking for an accomplished mortgage professional to help lead, coach, and develop our in-office sales team in Southfield.
This opportunity is designed for a strong mortgage producer with a helpful, team-oriented leadership style who is ready to take the next step in their career.
You may be a high-performing Loan Officer, Senior Loan Officer, Team Lead, Sales Manager, former Director, or experienced mortgage leader looking for your first or second formal management position.
This is not a passive management role. We are looking for someone who enjoys working directly with Loan Officers, creating positive energy, improving sales performance, coaching through challenges, and helping people succeed.
The right leader knows how to encourage without avoiding accountability, coach without micromanaging, and build a productive environment where people feel supported, challenged, and motivated.
What You’ll Do
As Mortgage Sales Team Lead, you will:
- Lead, coach, and motivate an in-office mortgage sales team
- Create a positive, energetic, focused, and professional sales environment
- Conduct daily team huddles and establish clear priorities
- Coach Loan Officers on live transfers, outbound outreach, lead conversion, borrower communication, follow-up, and pipeline management
- Help improve phone confidence, objection handling, appointment setting, application conversion, and overall sales performance
- Review activity, lead response, follow-up, applications, pipelines, and production progress
- Work directly with team members to identify opportunities and remove production roadblocks
- Reinforce consistent CRM use, accurate notes, organized pipelines, and disciplined follow-up
- Develop practical coaching plans based on individual strengths and areas for improvement
- Support the recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of new Loan Officers
- Help both experienced producers and developing Loan Officers reach higher levels of performance
- Maintain a culture of accountability while remaining approachable, helpful, and solutions-focused
- Promote ethical sales practices, regulatory compliance, and an excellent borrower experience
- Recognize wins, celebrate improvement, and keep the team moving forward

Experience We Value
Strong personal mortgage production experience is required.
Previous leadership experience may include serving as a:
- Senior Loan Officer
- Producing Team Lead
- Sales Manager
- Branch Manager
- Director of Mortgage Sales
- Mortgage Company Director
- Trainer, mentor, or informal team leader
Previous Director-level or formal management experience is welcomed and highly valued. However, this opportunity is also well suited for an accomplished producer seeking a first or second formal management position.
We are primarily looking for someone with proven mortgage production success, strong leadership potential, sound judgment, and a genuine interest in helping other Loan Officers improve.
Mortgage licensing and direct mortgage origination experience are strongly preferred.

This is a full-time, in-office leadership position.
Candidates should be able to work consistently from our Southfield office and remain actively engaged with the sales team throughout the day.
