We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Associate to join our Truesdale, Missouri team. This position is ideal for an individual who is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about quality, continuous improvement, and manufacturing excellence.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Associate is responsible for supporting quality assurance initiatives throughout the manufacturing process. This role investigates quality concerns, assists with process improvements, collaborates with multiple departments, and helps ensure Sunspace products consistently meet customer expectations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct non-conformance investigations, identify root causes, and document corrective and preventative actions while tracking them through completion.
Quarantine raw materials and finished goods requiring rework or supplier return and communicate supplier return requirements with the Purchasing department.
Develop, maintain, and perform special process documentation and quality audits for manufacturing processes.
Review inbound service and quality KPIs, analyze customer complaints, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Communicate quality concerns, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives with Sales Representatives, customers, and Operations.
Partner with the Service Department to troubleshoot and resolve quality-related service issues.
Generate, analyze, and maintain Cost of Quality (COQ) metrics and reporting.
Participate in studies and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize automation and manufacturing processes, including supporting equipment onboarding.
Assist with material handling activities, including forklift operation and movement of aluminum, finished goods, and other materials as required.
Provide Purchasing with information regarding inventory levels and material handling capacity.
Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with company procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or quality control environment preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to determine root causes.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience interpreting quality metrics and performance data is an asset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ability to travel to Canada for training
