Placement Information:
This family is looking for their next nanny. They are located in the Cedar Hills neighborhood with an almost 2 year old. Mom works from home. Their home has one dog, who is very friendly (no pet care).
Start date: September 28, 2026
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8:45am - 3:15pm and Fridays 8:45am - 12:45pm (30 hours per week)
Job Description:
- Follow the child's eating, play, and sleep routines.
- Provide nurturing care aligned with the needs and development milestones (diaper changes, feeding, playtime)
- Come up with organizing and engaging in age appropriate activities including, reading, play and plenty of outdoor time
- Create a calm and stimulating environment for the child's growth and well-being.
- Prepping food, feeding and cleaning up lunch and snacks
- Tidying up eating and play areas at the end of the day
Household Support (when time allows):
- Clean highchair and load any used dishes in the dishwasher
- Restock diaper and wipes
- Take out diaper trash
- Pick up play area and vacuum if needed for child related messes
- Wash and rinse pacifiers and toys that go in his mouth
- Spot clean his stroller and play furniture if needed
Requirements:
- Experience with toddlers and knowledge of developmental milestones
- Experience guiding toddlers with positive discipline, including setting consistent, age-appropriate boundaries while fostering independence and emotional development.
- Confident using gently, respectful approaches to toddler behavior, including redirection offering appropriate choices, and maintaining consistent expectations
- Comfortable with work from home parent
- Emotionally mature, professional and responsive to the child's needs
- Ability to adapt to routine changes as they come
- No perfume fragrance at on the job
Nice to Have:
- Fluency or proficiency in Spanish
- Experience with potty training and toddler discipline

We're hiring professional, responsible nannies who are passionate about working with children and ready to build strong, long-term relationships with families.
- Experienced Caregivers: Minimum 2 years of professional childcare experience (nannying, daycare, teaching, etc). 1 year of experience can be substituted for related education.
- CPR & First Aid Certified (or willing to obtain).
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with parents, follow care plans and update parents at end of day or throughout.
- Reliable and Professional: Punctual, trustworthy, and ready to work with high-quality families.
- Reliable Transportation: Willing to commute within the Portland metro and surrounding suburbs if doing on-call/maintained care with various families.
- Background Check Required: All applicants must pass a national background check.
Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
