Full Job Description

Set the Stage for Success – Join Vision Plastics as a Mold Setter!

Vision Plastics is the Northwest’s leader in custom injection molding, and we’re looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Mold Setter to help fuel our production team. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for setting up molds, preparing machines, and ensuring equipment and processes run safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

Set up and remove molds and auxiliary equipment, ensuring workstations are safe, tidy, and organized.
Enter and adjust molding parameters, including temperature settings, to meet production needs.
Verify proper materials, drying times, and contamination-free processes.
Install and adjust robot end-of-arm tooling to ensure parts are properly removed from presses.
Perform preventative maintenance on molds, presses, and equipment.
Keep accurate documentation of process parameters and communicate effectively with technicians and supervisors.
Suggest and support improvements to processes, safety, and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and stand for long periods.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to continuously learn in a changing environment.
Ability to achieve forklift, pallet jack, crane, and other certifications.
Previous injection molding or plastics manufacturing experience preferred.
