Pedigo Products, Inc., a leading Manufacturer of high-quality medical devices, is looking for a Supervisor to lead our Welding Team. The Welding Supervisor will have overall responsibility for a team of 30+ TIG, MIG, Spot Welders and assistants across 2 shifts. This is a full-time day shift position reporting to the Production Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide top level leadership for both shifts of welding operations
- Prioritize and direct the workflow in welding to support interdependent departments
- Promote personal productivity of welding team in meeting department goals
- Ensure quality checks are completed and report non-conformances
- Ensure production transaction accuracy in the ERP system
- Collaborate with Production Manager and other Supervisors to optimize overall output
- Evaluate and develop welding skills and cross training of the team across both shifts
- Develop and document best practices within the department
Experience, Skills, Education and Attributes of Candidates to be considered:
- 5+ Years of Welding leadership of a team of 10 or more welders
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings/prints, weld callouts, job travelers, instructions
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
- Desire to lead and motivate an experienced team to meet and exceed expectations
- Passion for production output and continuous improvement
- Natural inclination toward planning, organization, and efficiency
- Sufficient welding skills to support development of welders
- Experience or aptitude for working with an ERP System for production transactions
- Good computer and basic math skills (Basic Geometry, Fractions, Decimals)
