Georgia System Operations Corporation (GSOC) is seeking an IT Service Desk Operations Intern to support Shared Services Information Technology. This opportunity provides hands-on exposure to enterprise technology services, end-user computing, technical support, endpoint deployment, asset management, and the service processes that help employees stay productive and connected.
As an IT Service Desk Operations Intern, you will work alongside experienced IT professionals while contributing to daily Service Desk operations and meaningful customer-support initiatives. You will assist with incidents and service requests, prepare and deploy equipment, support new-hire technology onboarding, maintain documentation, and help improve technology service delivery.

What You'll Do
As an IT Service Desk Operations Intern, you will support projects and recurring activities that contribute to responsive customer support, efficient technology deployment, accurate asset information, and continuous service improvement.
You will:

Assist with basic IT incidents and service requests underappropriate supervision.

Prepare, configure, and deploy computers, monitors, accessories, and other peripherals.

Support new-hire onboarding, workstation setup, and technology provisioning activities.

Update knowledge base articles, support documentation, process guides, and other self-service resources.

Assist with inventory management, asset tracking, reporting, and technology lifecycle activities.

Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, andcustomer-support interactions accurately and clearly.

Participate in Service Desk process improvement initiatives andcustomer-support projects.

Communicate progress, questions, or barriers while collaborating professionally with employees and IT team members.

Present a summary of your projects, accomplishments, outcomes, and key learnings at the conclusion of the assignment.
What You Bring

Current enrollment in a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, ora related field.

Interest in technical support, enterprise technology, IT operations, endpoint management, and customer service.

Strong communication andcustomer-service skills, including the ability to listen carefully and explain information clearly.

Ability to troubleshoot basic technology issues and learn new systems, tools, and support processes.

Attention to detail and a commitment tomaintaining accurate documentation and asset information.

Strong organization and time-management skills, including the ability to manage assignments, meet deadlines, and communicate progress.

Preferred Qualifications
Technical Support & Endpoint Operations

Coursework, labs, certifications, academic projects, or hands-on experience involving help desk support, computer hardware, Windows systems, technical troubleshooting, or endpoint management.

Exposure tocomputer setup, peripheral installation, workstation deployment, user onboarding, or technology provisioning.

Interest in developing practical skills in enterprise IT support, issue resolution, and end-user computing.
Service Delivery, Documentation & Asset Management

Experience or coursework involving customer service, technical documentation, knowledge base content, inventory management, reporting, or process improvement.

Ability to organize detailed information, document troubleshooting steps, andmaintain accurate records.
