Full Job Description

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

Critical member of the Tax Support Team, performing key administrative support through high-level data entry, navigating multiple complex software systems, high-volume document processing, and providing high-level client service.

TAX SUPPORT DUTIES

High-level data entry (including proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word)
Navigate complex software (e.g. Lacerte, SafeSend, SmartVault, SurePrep, Financial Cents)
Assemble and process a high volume of tax returns
Process high-volume paper/digital document submissions
Collaborate with team members on all manner of tasks and projects
Strong verbal and written communication
Provide excellent and timely client support

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Pleasant demeanor with clients/team members
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Able to focus for long periods of time
Effective multitasker under pressure
Proficient with both a paper/paperless environment and workflow management concepts
Comfortable working independently

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

Minimum of 2-4 years of office experience; tax industry experience is strongly preferred
Proficient with MS Excel and MS Office
Experience and familiarity with tax documents in a professional setting preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Prolonged periods of standing and/or sitting during document intake and assembly
Standard office working conditions

SCHEDULE

Annual Schedule: Mid-April to December, appr. 30 hours/week
Tax Season: January to Mid-April, appr. 40 hours/week including occasional Saturdays and potential overtime (tax season only)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Experience:

Customer service: 2 years (Required)
High Level Data Entry: 3 years (Required)

Ability to Commute:

Tucson, AZ 85715 (Required)
