Announces an opening for:

Engagement Specialist

Two-time Grammy-nominated True Concord Voices & Orchestra is Tucson’s professional chamber choir and orchestra, one of the country’s most esteemed performing arts institutions. Having just concluded its 22nd season, True Concord presents 25-plus performances annually throughout Tucson and the Southwest, bringing to thousands of audience members an intriguing mix of classic masterworks and the masterworks of the future, commissioning new work from some of the most accomplished composers in the world. In addition to live concerts, True Concord is acclaimed for its award-winning recordings, broadcasts and video concerts. True Concord is a nonprofit 501c3 with an exemplary record of fiscal responsibility and volunteer Board stewardship.

Position Description

True Concord prides itself on superb, gracious customer service, always putting the ticket-buying patron first, and the Engagement Specialist is key to this focus. Qualified candidates will exhibit enthusiasm and excitement for growing the visibility and audience for True Concord’s musical magic.

Core Responsibilities:

Serving the public in-person at performances, online (using True Concord’s Salesforce-based CRM system), by phone, via text and snail mail
Managing True Concord’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.), posting regularly and communicating via these platforms in an effort to expand reach and grow concert audiences
Creating, scheduling and sending eblasts to True Concord’s internal email list
Developing publicity materials such as concert programs & text booklets, promotional graphics and flyers, in collaboration with True Concord’s marketing team
Recording, editing and publicizing promotional videos
Presence at all performances and events assisting in patron services and front-of-house management
Volunteer coordination and organization (concert ushers, greeters, artist hosts, post-performance receptions, appearances at festival tables, etc.)
Assisting True Concord's Audience Development Committee.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Coordinating promotions, exchanges and announcements with fellow arts organizations and other affinity groups
Assisting in the development of True Concord’s web presence, including maintenance, design, blog posts and integration with ticket sales system
Assisting in reporting, patron surveys & data analysis utilizing programs such as Excel, Google Forms, etc.
Other duties as required, including copying, ticket distribution and mass mailings
Involvement in educational activities

The successful candidate will:

Possess a bachelor’s degree (preferably in communications, marketing or music) and direct experience in many of the areas listed above plus the motivation and transferable skills to learn and perform more of the duties
Have a dynamic personality that excites audiences, inspires volunteers, and engages a variety of constituent groups
Have a working knowledge of and be conversant about classical music
Be well organized and bring communication, cooperation, technical skills, and creativity to the position
Have high-level facility with Microsoft Office Suite and online database management
Have excellent writing skills and experience with social media platforms and web-based technologies
Have experience in performing arts, non-profit, and/or marketing fields.
Have high-level facility in Adobe graphic design applications (ideally, InDesign) and website maintenance (WordPress)
Reflect True Concord’s reputation for commitment to excellence and patron-centered customer service.

This a full-time, in-office position with a starting salary in the $40K range. Benefits include a health insurance stipend, generous PTO and comp time in the summer. A forty-hour work week is standard for most of the year, plus evening/afternoon concert duty on weekends and for special events. A start date of July 1 or sooner is preferred.
