Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Residential HVAC Installer and be at the forefront of creating comfortable, efficient living environments for our customers. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems with precision and professionalism. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards and customer expectations, contributing to our reputation for excellence in home comfort solutions. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your mechanical skills and technical knowledge in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Duties

Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment in residential settings following schematics and HVAC design plans.
Conduct system troubleshooting and repair on existing HVAC units, ensuring optimal performance through electrical diagnostics and equipment troubleshooting.
Perform maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and routine inspections to uphold system efficiency and longevity.
Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other mechanical tools to assemble, modify, or repair HVAC components accurately.
Interpret schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, building automation systems, and plumbing layouts to facilitate precise installations and repairs.
Diagnose issues related to refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration where applicable; repair or replace faulty components as needed.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain system functions, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Proven construction experience with a strong mechanical aptitude; previous service technician experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and mechanical components.
Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems, plumbing connections, refrigeration techniques, and boiler operation.
Ability to operate hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic or repair tools efficiently.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely.
EPA certification for refrigerants; additional certifications in electrical diagnostics or ammonia refrigeration are a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
Mechanical knowledge combined with property maintenance or appliance repair experience is advantageous.
