Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Plasma Table Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining plasma cutting machines to produce precise metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise in CNC laser cutting, programming, and fabrication will ensure high-quality output while adhering to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic production environment where precision, efficiency, and craftsmanship are valued. Responsibilities

Set up and operate plasma cutting tables, ensuring accurate alignment and calibration for each job
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine cutting parameters
Program CNC laser cutting machines using CAD/CAM software to optimize cutting paths and efficiency
Perform routine maintenance on plasma tables and related equipment to ensure optimal performance
Conduct quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication tools for assembly or modification tasks as needed
Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols including crane operation and proper handling of sheet metal

Qualifications

Proven experience operating plasma cutting machines and CNC laser equipment in a manufacturing setting
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming, machining processes, and blueprint reading
Skilled in the use of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
Ability to interpret technical drawings (GD&T) and apply them accurately during fabrication processes
Knowledge of welding, sheet metal fabrication, tooling setup, and assembly techniques is preferred
Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM), press brake machines, CNC lathes, milling machines, stamping presses or similar machinery is advantageous
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances
Valid certification or experience in forklift operation and crane handling is a plus but not mandatory
